Photo: GQAL Accreditation – Awards Evening

As some of you may know Proud & Loud Arts now offer all of our members GQAL Accreditation for the work they do with us through PEARL. Recognised on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), the PEARL programme is a practical hands-on qualification which has been developed around the skills employers’ value and is centred on 5 key themes: self-awareness; social skills; managing feelings; empathy; motivation.

Our group have been working towards gaining their first certificates for the past 12 months through the ‘Cells’ project. We are pleased to say that each member has passed their level one accreditation!

We held an awards evening at the Sutton Community Centre to celebrate the achievements of the group. It was a great evening, we ate lots of cake, played Hoy Bingo and gave away some truly dreadful prizes, if you were unlucky enough to win one, you’ll know what we mean. After a few rounds of the Hoy Bingo, we moved on to the presentations of the awards. Everybody was presented their awards by our guest Lynda Seddon (from GQAL) and Tom.

It was a really lovely night, it was great to see families & friends of Proud & Loud Arts coming together to support the achievements of the members.
