Proud and Loud Arts is seeking an exceptional Trustee to join our Board to help us create a more inclusive and accessible society for disabled people.

Proud and Loud Arts is a Salford based charity developing creative opportunities for disabled people living across Greater Manchester. Founded in 2000, we have developed a reputation for ambition, professionalism, and excellence while learning to organise, demanding change, and creating powerful new live performances.

We offer a range of accessible talent development and performance programs, for disabled people aged 18 and over. We also provide personalised access support, ensuring that disabled artists, arts workers and trustees can achieve their best in a well supported environment that fosters ambition.


The Role of a Trustee

Proud and Loud Arts is looking for individuals to join our Board of Trustees. We welcome passionate first-time trustees as well as those with pervious experience.

We want Trustees who can bring new and diverse experience to the table as we chart our way through a new and exciting phase of development. Trustees play a critical role in advocacy both internal and external, as well as supporting fundraising, attending performances and events, and helping connect us to valuable contacts and networks.

We are looking for people who are willing to offer their time, expertise and ideas and who will make a positive contribution to one of Salford’s most important inclusive organisations.

As a charity Proud and Loud Arts Trustees are volunteers. We ask for people to make a commitment to attend 4 – 6 meetings throughout the year. The term of office is three years and we ask people to serve one full term. 

Proud and Loud Arts especially welcome applicants from the Black, Asian and ethnically diverse communities, disabled people and younger people who are currently underrepresented. We are looking for people who will help shape our future with the focus on addressing the following skills: 

Marketing, Digital Growth, Psychology, Trauma Therapy, Health and Social Care, Creative Sector Management, Finance, Human Resources, Education, Law, Fundraising, Corporate Sponsorship.
