SPACED
A hilariously chaotic intergalactic voyage with Michael Gleave

All aboard as the SPACED crew take you on an exhilarating journey through the cosmos. Expect chaos and hilarity which will take you out of this world.
SPACED has been developed by a creative team led by Michael Gleave. Together they created a new comedy show which explores the creation of a SPACE to experience freedom, joy, and connection.
About the Artist

Michael is one of Proud and Loud Arts most recognisable faces having been a performer and artist with us for many years. Michael contributed to Cells – A Body of Work with his art installation Space Adex which premiered at Manchester Art Gallery in 2018, later being exhibited at Tate Exchange, Tate Liverpool, and Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester.
Michael is a natural performer and has long anticipated creating his own show to entertain and amaze audiences.
Throughout 2022, Michael led a creative team to discover ways of developing ideas for his new show-in-development, SPACED. Using music and comedy, Michael explores SPACE in all the ways it presents itself, in a trial of ideas.
Join the Next Voyage
Michael and his team rehearsed an shared a show-in-development to invited audiences at HOME Manchester and The Edge Theatre and Arts Centre.
Michael has hoped to create his own show to entertain and amaze audiences for a long time and is now leading a creative team to begin the voyage to reach his ambition.
SPACED is in its first stages of development and we need your support to build a bigger and better show with even more room for freedom, comedy, and connection!
We’re seeking to launch into theatre spaces with Michael’s show. If you would like to be involved in the next phase of this work as a venue partner, get in touch with Tom Hogan: tom@proudandloudarts.com
