Photo: We are immensely proud that we have been offered NPO status for the next three years (2023-2026) from Arts Council England.

On Friday 4th November 2022, following lots of nervous anticipation, we received the incredible news that Proud and Loud Arts will become one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations.

This investment will support Proud and Loud Arts to collaborate with more creative and community organisations to show high-quality, thought-provoking, and original work created by disabled artists. It will enable us to invest in developing creative inclusion and access to build a more representative and diverse cultural sector (whilst captivating audiences with funny, provocative, and beautiful live-art and performance, of course!).

I am absolutely delighted the work of Proud and Loud Arts has been recognised by Arts Council England. We have been working hard over the past 22 years to create a space for disabled artists in the creative sector. This is a milestone development moment for us and one that we are excited to seize with new energy, commitment, and inclusive creativity”

Tom Hogan, Artistic Director

We are excited to be one of the 276 new organisations selected to receive ACE investment to contribute to a varied portfolio which “will help ignite creativity across the country”[i] and will be laying down our bold plans between now & April 2023 for the next three years.

Finally, a huge thank you to the Proud and Loud Arts’ performers, individual artists, trustees, and supporters who have all been a part of the journey towards NPO.

Arts Council England is the national development agency for creativity and culture. We have set out our strategic vision in Let’s Create that by 2030 we want England to be a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish and where everyone of us has access to a remarkable range of high-quality cultural experiences. We invest public money from Government and The National Lottery to help support the sector and to deliver this vision. www.artscouncil.org.uk
