Christmas is once again just around the corner… ok, ok it’s a couple months away but you’re going to want to start thinking about it NOW becasue we’ve got the perfect thing for you to make a good festive impression.

Our Art Group is raising money!

Although predominately a performance based company, over lockdown some of our members worked with long time associate artist/designer, Nerissa Cargill Thompson, on visual arts challenges. They enjoyed them so much that they requested regular art sessions once we returned to face to face sessions; working with Nerissa to learn design techniques to help with the research, development and communication of ideas for personal performance projects. Each member is guided to develop their own creative practice and explore themes that interest them in new ways. The group are bursting with creativity but are in need of more art materials and tools to develop their work further.

But how can we raise money and give something back?

Member Danielle has the answer. Danielle likes drawing in pencil but finds using colour physically straining. Over lockdown she started using digital drawing apps, still drawing but using the app to add colour and texture.

In order to raise money Danielle has created some beautiful festive artworks for you family and friends.

This beautifully complimentary pair of A6 Christmas card designs really sum up the winter season.

Card 1 – Against a pale blue sky dotted with intricate snowflakes, a family of penguins huddle together keeping warm on the snow.

Card 2 – A dusty pink scene shows a bright, red chested robin perching on a branch as the snow falls.

Danielle has created packs of 10 cards (5 of each design) printed on 300gsm recycled card with a soft silk finish and using recycled envelopes.

How to get your cards.

To avoid waste, we’re pre-selling the cards and only printing what’s needed. This means we’re asking you to place your orders before 12th November 2021 at 5:00pm. We’ll aim to have your cards posted to you before the end of November, giving you lots of time to receive, write and send your cards to family and friends for Christmas.

All you need to do is decide how many you want to buy!

Head over to our Crowdfunder page https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/pla-christmas-cards and select your rewards. If you’re feeling particularly festive you can choose to donate more to help us buy more supplies. There’s a bunch of options available including –

£6 (or more) which gets you 1 pack of 10 cards (5 of each design) including the cost of postage & packaging

£16 (or more) gets you 3 packs of 10 cards including the cost of postage & packaging

£50 (or more) known as our ‘business special’ get you 10 packs of 10 cards – that’s 100 cards!

Don’t forget that buy buying your Christmas cards from us you’ll our art group to continue to expand their creative endeavours. It’s a win win situation!
